A very interesting article on infants and young children’s capacity for language. I certainly have to agree with what is said in the article. Matthew seems to have a great capacity and ability to absorb the words we use and he can sort of associate words to items such as bear and milk. And he’s really talkative with his baby talk though some of the words he says are understandable to us adults. We really wonder what he’s talking about.

- Post-natal Depression Hits 1 in 10 Dads
Didn’t know that dads are sceptical to post-natal depression as well. A US study that was reported in Pediatrics journal states that up to 10 per cent of new fathers suffer post-natal depression as compared to 14 per cent of new mothers. Post-natal depression in either the mother or father can have implications on a child’s development.
