Have been a little lazy in blogging as I was enjoying the Lunar New Year holidays. So, here’s a listing of interesting links that I’ve uncovered over the last few days.

- A Twist on “I’ll Count to Three”
Think I’ll have to use this instead of telling my son 1-2-3. Can even be used when I’m doing library workshops with teenagers in MPOW. And Jungle Pop of Dadbloggers has added his own views on it.

- Getting kids cooking
Cooking can be an enjoyable pasttime for your children as they learn to cook something up on their own. In addition, you can use the opportunity for you to teach them. Kids will learn better as they have a hands-on role to play in the cooking process.

- Bottle nipple as medicine dispenser
This is a wonderful parenting hack! We have been having a hard time feeding Matthew his medicine this couple of days as he is down with running nose and cough. We have been force-feeding him via a syringe as he refuses to take his medicine. Guess we just might try this method out.

- Poor maths and literacy skills cost £800m a year
Though not entirely related to parenting, it’s still important to ensure that your kids have an opportunity to pick up good maths and literacy skills. I feel that have good maths and literacy skills can help a child through his entire life. So, the basics of that would be very much dependent on the parents.
