About the Author

Hi! My name is Isaak Kwok and welcome to my blog. I was born in Singapore and have studied and worked here all my life. If you really want to know, I’m an Aquarius (Western horoscope) and a Wood Tiger (Chinese horoscope).

Am currently employed with the National Library Board as an Adult and Young People’s librarian doing various things such as library outreaches, hosting programmes, conducting book talks, writing book reviews, and providing reference services.

I’m married to Wendy and we have a year-old son, Matthew. We also have a Maltese named Jeremiah. Both Wendy and myself are slowly learning to be good parents and trying to give Matthew the correct grounding. At the same time, we hope to also give him the opportunity to learn and pick up things on his own.

I have a personal blog that deals mainly with personal stuff, Macs, gadgets and blogging at Isaak’s World and another one on libraries and its use of technologies as well as its social impacts at Blogging Librarian.

Isaak’s World is served out of a server on a Joyent Premier Shared Accelerator server and powered by WordPress.

The site is generally maintained using TextMate and Transmit with graphics being processed through Adobe Photoshop. All this is done on a 17″ 2.33GHz MacBook Pro.
