Was really funny reading Jason Kottke’s post on comparing the sensitivity of the accelerometers of three things: the iPhone, Wiimote, and a newborn baby. Guess for those who are parents, you’ll already know who’s the winner. The baby, of course!
Well, I had the exact same experience as Jason when I put Matthew to bed. Had to carry him for about 45 minutes to an hour to settle him down. And when I think he is fully asleep, I attempt to put him into the cot. But as I turn him to lay him down, he will somehow notice that he has been moved and start crying. Apparently, this is called the Moro reflex. Even now, when Matthew is going to be two soon, he’ll still wake up when we transfer him from our bed to his cot. But thankfully, he’ll just make some noise and then go back to sleep.
