Mobile Phones and Bratty Kids

A controversial study that was reported in Britain’s Daily Mail has found that pregnant women who regularly use mobile phones are more likely to have children with behavioral problems.

The study claims that using the mobile phones two to three times a day was enough to rise the risk of the children having issues such as hyperactivity and emotional problems. Letting a child under seven to use mobile phones will also put them in danger.

Thankfully, the researchers says that radiation is unlikely to be the cause. And the more likely explanation is that mothers who use their mobile phones regularly are most probably spending less time with their babies.

Personally, I’m not too certain how accurate the study is. Matthew does use our mobile phones to talk to his grandparents and other relatives. And I’m quite sure my wife used the phone during her pregnancy at least two to three times a day when she was pregnant. Thankfully, we haven’t seen any behavioral problems in him.

I believe the most important thing is that parents NEED to spend quality time with their children such as playing and reading with them so as to prevent problems from arising.
